Cleaning (dust removal) serves to remove external dust from books, preventing them from deteriorating over time. Disinfection, on the other hand, targets bacteria, mould and viruses.

• non-standard materials

Historical or damaged materials must not be placed in automatic machines.

• antique books (even from the 4th/5th century)
• manuscripts and rare materials
• museum objects and delicate collections

It is a manual workstation designed for conservation.

Internal cleaning (between the pages) is a complex process and is not always recommended.

👉 The correct approach is:

• automatic external cleaning → Depulvera® / Pulvisina® / L’aura®
• targeted internal treatment → Spirabilia® (manual and controlled)

This ensures the safety and preservation of the material.

Disinfection is necessary when the following are present:

• mould
• bacteria
• biological contamination
• health requirements (e.g. after frequent use)

👉 Nebula uses a controlled treatment with biocidal compounds (QAC) and automatic drying.
⚠️ Important: disinfection must always be carried out after cleaning.
