"Alla Boston Public Library di Boston, negli Stati Uniti, c’è una sorta di mini-autolavaggio per pulire i libri più sporchi e impolverati. Il macchinario si chiama Depulvera e usa più o meno lo stesso principio dell’autolavaggio, acqua a parte: i tomi si spostano su un nastro trasportatore, che li fa passare attraverso spazzole rotanti e un aspiratore che rimuovono buona parte della polvere. L’operazione è automatica, ma deve comunque esserci un operatore per inserire i libri e raccoglierli quando hanno terminato il loro percorso."
